This being my birthday, i thought i'd update this journal... it HAS been a while...

1. work is just awful. My job before the cutbacks i adored. A week didnt go by for 20 years that i didnt thank God for that job. Now i have to squeeze in this clerical stuff for 3/4 of the day while struggling to churn out some half decent work in whats left. Trying to stay upbeat but struggling with depression and stress and catastrophic high blood pressure at the same time. I find myself just looking forward to the weekends... not something i am used to...

2. Had a commission for a Massa/Ferrari F60 painting, but i guess i took a little long completing it, and when i updated him on the progress he had decided to go elsewhere... rats. Some details to complete, but i will post it here when its ready

3. finally on facebook now. took a while to get on there, but enjoying it...

4. The city asked me to come to the "Teen Art Awards" to set up a table with my art to help describe a career in the arts. They probably figured the Ferraris would be a hit with the guys... we shall see. Thats tonight, so i am looking forward to it. I was honoured and thrilled that they asked!

5. Also opening today is a 12"x12" show that i have 3 paintings in. A series of Ferrari gas/oil cap closeups. I will post them shortly. I am going to shoot over to the end of the celebration right after the Art Awards. The gallery always puts on a fun evening.

Thats all for now... thinkin about seeing the movie 2012 this aft for some Birthday fun... got baaaad reviews but i'm just going to see the end-of-the-world SPFX. Compared to my job thats quite uplifting...
